Research Facilities

The Chicago Botanic Garden's Daniel F. and Ada L. Rice Plant Conservation Science Center is an international center of plant conservation research and serves as home to the graduate program. The Plant Science Center provides a world-class facility designed specifically to meet the needs of students and researchers. Awarded a Gold LEED rating by the U.S. Green Building Council, the 38,000-square-foot Plant Science Center also has a viewing gallery with interactive displays and a16,000-square-foot Green Roof Garden that are open to the public, giving nearly hundreds of thousands of visitors and schoolchildren each year the opportunity to view plant science firsthand.
