Research Interests: Restoration ecology, urban ecology, pollination biology, native bees

Current Research:

I am investigating the effects of tallgrass prairie restoration on native bee communities in northeastern Illinois. I am interested in how land management history, as well as landscape scale factors may affect native pollinators, specifically bees.

Since 2007 I have been working with Intrinsic Landscaping to determine the bee populations of multiple green roofs in and around Chicago.
